A simple four-step check
- List every product you take, including any multivitamins from other brands.
- Read the amount per serve for each shared ingredient on each label.
- Multiply by how many serves you take a day, using the serving size on the panel.
- Add them up and compare with the directions and warnings on each product.
Watch the units
Labels use mg (milligrams), mcg or µg (micrograms) and sometimes IU (international units). Convert to the same unit before adding. Our label guide explains each unit.
Bring your labels to the pharmacy
Your pharmacist can check a list of supplements against each other and against any medicines you take. Taking photos of each supplement panel on your phone makes this quick.
